UOSSM 3rd Primary Care Update | Virtual CME Symposium

No Registration Fee | Saturday, February 6, 2021

The UOSSM Primary Care Update will highlight how to implement advances in the diagnosis and management of common conditions in primary care, such as diabetes, obesity, thromboembolic disease, and osteoporosis, with a special focus on the needs of Canada’s First Nations peoples. The annual primary care update will also address how to apply and improve approaches for providing healthcare to female survivors of rape, as well as the provision of emergency contraception. In addition, we will discuss important considerations to diagnose and determine the appropriate course of treatment for depression in the general population and Canada’s First Nations peoples. Our annual primary care update attracts a wide variety of healthcare professionals and given the virtual format this year, we anticipate guests from all over Canada. This event has been approved for accreditation by McMaster University’s Continuing Health Sciences Education department to provide Mainpro+ and MOC Section 1 credits to family physicians and specialists.
