UOSSM Privacy Policy
PERSONAL DATA
UOSSM Canada, headquartered in Mississauga, Canada, complies with Canadian data protection legislation. UOSSM Canada does not sell, rent or make available your data to third parties, nor does it normally transmit any data to third parties or organizations. UOSSM Canada will use your data to contact and ask you to support UOSSM financially. If you subscribe to our e-newsletter (newsletter sent by email), or support us financially, your personal data (excluding any payment processing information) will be received and stored on our internal systems.
UOSSM Canada respects the wishes of supporters, donors and subscribers to the e-newsletter who do not want to be contacted any more. These people may contact our donor service to unsubscribe from our communications. Subscribers to the newsletter can unsubscribe from the distribution list by clicking on the link at the bottom of each newsletter or via email by writing to: [email protected].
By accessing our website and/or submitting your personal information to us, you agree that: (1) you will abide by the practice described in this Policy, and (2) UOSSM may use the information in accordance with this Policy. Further, if you reside outside Canada, you understand and agree that your personal information may be processed in countries where laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.
ONLINE PAYMENTS
Every effort is taken to process payments securely though a major global payment processor. Data transmitted is in encrypted form and not stored at UOSSM.
DONATIONS
UOSSM Canada mainly finances its work through donations. Donations initiated on the UOSSM Canada website, www.uossm-canada.org, may be routed and processed by UOSSM chapter offices in the user’s country of residence, if user clicks through to the chapter website. Tax deductibility may be possible so long as the donation is correctly routed to the donor’s country of residence.
USER DATA
By visiting www.uossm-canada.org, the internet server registers non-personal user data which gives information on the main stages of the site visit, the transmission of location addresses on the site, the activities according to the time and duration of the visit. Usage data is processed internally at UOSSM to enable us to tailor the UOSSM website to the needs of it’s users.
Information that We May Collect About You from Social Networking Sites. If you log into our Site using a social media service, you may be required to enter the email address, username, and/or password associated with that social media service. By logging in through a service, you could be granting us access to certain information hosted by the service, such as account information (this includes your name, profile picture, gender, networks, user IDs, list of friends, date of birth, contact information, email address, and any other information you have set to public on your account) and information posted on your feed or timeline. You have the ability to consent to the specific information that would be shared through the sign-in process. We store the information that we receive from social media services with other information that we collect from you or receive about you.

We invite you to post content on our social media services, including your comments, pictures, and any other information that you would like to be available. If you post your own content, your posting may become public, and we cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this Policy, the law, or your personal privacy. Our website and social media posts may contain links to third-party websites. CHILDREN UNDER 16
Our services are not designed for children under 16. If we are made aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.

TERMS OF CANCELLATION, WITHDRAWAL OF DONATIONS
UOSSM Canada provides conditions for cancellation or withdrawal of donations. To do this, please contact us at [email protected] detailing the reason for your cancellation or modification (error in the amount, error in the recipient, fraudulent use of your card, etc.).
