On Sunday September 10th, heavy rainfall from Mediterranean storm Daniel caused two dams to collapse, sending flooding with waves more than 20 feet high through the city of Derna, hitting much of Eastern Libya. The death toll is believed to be 10,000 and could reach as high as 20,000 with thousands more missing along with significant damage to housing and infrastructure.

UOSSM Canada is working closely with local, trustworthy medical relief organizations  on the ground to provide survivors with  medical aid.
