With widespread destruction across Gaza, UOSSM Canada is delivering life-saving care by rebuilding essential health services and supporting high-risk communities through multiple emergency and long-term medical projects.
Gaza Mobile Medical Units
Four mobile clinics are operating in Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City (Shuja'iyya & Al-Shati). From February to May 2025, these teams provided 14,363 consultations to 12,936 beneficiaries, delivering primary care in some of the hardest-hit areas.
Nasser Medical Complex
With support from ICNA Relief Canada, UOSSM Canada has provided over 85,700 health services to 3,000+ patients through outpatient and inpatient care, minor surgeries, wound treatment (VAC therapy), mental health services, and physiotherapy.
Dialysis Support
In partnership with Human Concern International, UOSSM Canada deployed 33 dialysis machines to address urgent kidney care needs. 5 machines are active at Al-Rantisi Hospital; the rest are ready for the Hind Dagmeh Dialysis Centre once renovations are complete.
The only Children's Hospital in North Gaza
Delivering critical pediatric services (dialysis, neurology, surgery, ENT, and more) to over 6,200 children as of May 2025, this hospital continues operating despite extreme conditions and recent staff losses.
The Indonesian Hospital
Once a cornerstone of northern Gaza’s healthcare system, UOSSM Canada fully operated the Indonesian Hospital across all departments until it was forced to evacuate. Despite the closure, our medical teams quickly redeployed, across Northern Gaza, to Shifaa, Baptist, Nasser, and Al Aqsa hospitals to ensure patients continued receiving life-saving care. Sustaining these operations requires over $600,000 monthly, and the collapse of this support would leave thousands without treatment.
Completed Projects
- Wound Care: 8,000+ patients treated across Gaza using advanced surgical and VAC techniques.
- Nourish Gaza: 785 malnourished patients received emergency food kits, thanks to Islamic Society of Markham.
