Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services in Gaza: Threats to safety, risk of detention, exposure to violence, death of family members and other traumatic experiences are leading to serious mental health impairments. Specifically, children have been found to be suffering from a range of psychological and mental health conditions including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders among many others. We are helping more than 11,650 beneficiaries, especially women and orphans, by providing critical psychological support.
-
Wound Care in Gaza: Gaza has been exposed to recurrent violence and escalation for many years. UOSSM Canada is providing support to around 1,000 beneficiaries by providing 1,000 vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) units and training for local medical professionals to administer life saving treatment.
-
Dialysis Project in Gaza: Estimates indicate that a large number of dialysis machines have been damaged, and the available machines only suffice for three hours of dialysis per week, while it should be 12 hours per patient. We are rehabilitating the dialysis center in Nasser Medical Complex.
