Strengthening Healthcare & Community Resilience in Canada

Beyond international humanitarian relief, UOSSM Canada is dedicated to building domestic healthcare capacity and supporting local community resilience. We engage directly with Canadian frontline healthcare providers through accredited medical education, while delivering targeted health literacy sessions across Ontario.

Annual Primary Care Update CME Series

Since 2019, UOSSM Canada has organized its recurring Annual Primary Care Update symposium to enhance the quality of medical care delivered across Canada. Through this initiative, UOSSM regularly connects with the Canadian medical community, bringing together family physicians, nurse practitioners, residents, and primary care teams from across the country to review clinical advances and discuss the health priorities of vulnerable populations, including Canada's First Nations as well as newcomers and refugees.

Academic Accreditation: Our annual symposia are accredited by McMaster University for Mainpro+ credits and Royal College MOC Section 1 study hours.
