Our Work Around the World

Since our inception, UOSSM Canada has run medical and humanitarian programmes globally, reaching 12 countries. Since 2024—thanks to supporters like you—we’ve delivered over 340 000 medical services, hosted many mental-health sessions for children, deployed dozens of mobile clinics, rebuilt hospitals, and trained hundreds of local healthcare workers. Canada (HQ)

• Coordinated Medical Missions to Syria & Gaza
• Delivered 600 meals to frontline staff in the Halton region during 2020
• Canadian healhcare-workers led national advocacy for crisis zones

Palestine (Gaza)

• 270 000+ medical services in 2024-25
• 6+ ongoing projects in such as Indoesian Hospital, Nasser Medical Complex, Rantisis Children's Hospital, and more...
• Mental-health support for 7 700+ children

Syria

• Emergency Medical mission (May 2025): 534 consults, 116 surgeries
• Training programmes for local ENT & ophthalmology surgeons
• Al-Tal Hospital Dialysis: operating a dialysis department in rural Damascus: expecting 600–650 dialysis sessions monthly, over 5 months

Jordan

• Delivered structured psychosocial support (PSS) activities to over 190 Syrian refugee students at Bareeq Center in Amman
• The project trained 8 educators on classroom management during disasters, psychological first aid (PFA), and suicide prevention

Lebanon

• Bekaa Mobile Clinics 2024-2025: 3 168 beneficiaries, including 3 286 medical consultations and 364 psychosocial support sessions
• Focused mental-health & primary-care integration for Syrian refugees and host communities under challenging seasonal conditions

Bangladesh

• Rohingya camp mental-health & tele-medicine pilot
• 12 community health workers trained in 2024

Morocco

• operated a Primary Healthcare Centre in the Aghbar community to aid those impacted by the 2024 earthquake
• 2,714 beneficiaries received 3,841 consultations

Libya

• Derna Mobile Clinic: 1 538 patients treated and critical medical supplies delivered to ensure hospital functionality
• Ongoing supply-chain assistance to local health facilities, reinforcing capacity in a region still recovering from disaster

Turkey

• Distributed 1,000 hot meals in Osmaniye, Turkey through the Rahma House partnership
• Delivered critical medical supplies to earthquake-hit areas and mobilized hospitals

Yemen

• supported a health center in Sana’a Governorate, delivering over 5,760 critical medical consultations and services including maternal care and immunizations
• Outreach activities and awareness messaging further extended support to 17,280 indirect beneficiaries

Mozambique

• Over 1,000 free cataract surgeries were successfully performed in Maputo Province between June and July 2022, restoring sight to patients
• Capacity building for local health workers was achieved by training ophthalmologists, residents, and nurses alongside international surgeons

Pakistan

• Provided 1,700 consultations monthly, alongside hygiene and clean birthing kit distributions, directly benefiting thousands in high-risk flood zones
• Supplying essential stroke treatment equipment and developing rehabilitation services at public hospitals (HMC and LRH), impacting care for the, over 40 million, population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
