On April 29,2016 airstrikes destroyed the Al Marjeh Primary Health Care Centre, a medical facility supported by UOSSM-Canada. The Al Marjeh Primary Health Care Centre was completely destroyed and marks the second bombing of a civilian hospital in three days. Medical facilities have been prime targets amid the fierce airstrikes in Aleppo. The Al Marjeh Primary Health Care Centre opened in 2014 and served internally displaced people regardless of race, religion or political affiliation. The centre performed 46,338 consultations since 2014, with 82% of patients being women and children. UOSSM-Canada is committed to helping rebuild Al Marjeh and not abandoning the community who need it's services.
